Getting to Know Lucky Boy

For those who have yet to experience the joy of a Lucky Boy adventure, we bring you photos of the restaurant itself.

First, a view of this fine establishment.

Wood wall paneling, brown padded chairs, and the bucket where patrons place their dirty utensils after a satisfying meal. You'll note that Lucky Boy cares about the environment and offers a recycling bin- just one more way that LB gives back to the Abq community and the world at large. Guests can choose between rectangular or square tables that comfortably seat 2-4 people or opt for the large round table when rollin' deep.

As can be seen above and at left, Lucky Boy strives to create a pleasing atmosphere with tasteful wall hangings. Gazing at the vivid blue hues really brings out the taste in the green chile burger and lemonade. For the solitary diner, there is usually a local newspaper floating around, yet another way that LB keeps us connected to the community.

To the right you will see the Lucky Boy bulletin board, complete with local business advertisements and fine cultural decorations. If you're looking to sign your son up for a choir group, LB has got your back.

Now that we've given you a small taste of Lucky Boy, go on your own adventure Monday-Friday (11:00am-6:30pm) or Saturday (11:00am-3:30pm).

4 Lucky Stars

There is no finer place to take a break from grad school finals than the gem that is Lucky Boy. I figured I'd give the classics a try this time around and went for a grilled cheese sandwich and vanilla shake. I've never met a shake I didn't like and this one at Lucky Boy didn't disappoint. The flavor could have been stronger, but I guess that's my fault for electing vanilla over one of the other flavors (see above). What the shake lacked in flavor it made up for in consistency- not too thick, and thus, perfectly sippable through a straw. With evenly toasted white bread and a creamy cheese filling, the grilled cheese sandwich really hit the spot! My only complaint is that I didn't order two, and so, I give this meal 4 Lucky Stars.
